The Natural World Of Beesline

A while ago I received a gift basket from Beesline. It is a Lebanese cosmetic brand that prides itself in its natural ingredients mainly apitherapy, which is the use of honey bee products. I am a huge fan of natural products and tend to search for them when I am at a department store or a para-pharmacy as I have sensitive skin, especially my face.

Inside the bag was a pair of anti odor socks, lip balm, sea salt foot scrub, anti shine facial mask, and beeswax ointment.

Product Review: Chanel Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil

When it comes to my skin tone, I would say I am neither pale nor tan, which makes it hard for me to understand why I have fine and light eyebrows. When applying make up they tend to fade under the foundation, so I must fill them with an eyebrow pencil. I had previously tried more than one type of product, and I finally settled on Chanel Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil. I use number 30 Brun Naturel, it suits my natural hair color and doesn’t make my eyebrows pop out in an overpowering way.

Product Review: Chanel Hydra Beauty

Who among us doesn’t love Chanel? When I got the chance to sample their skincare line, I couldn’t say no. A big thank you to the ladies at the Chanel counter at the department store, this is my review for their ‘Hydra Beauty’ range.

It has been over a month that I have started using this line. I had been using a BB cream for a short while before, so I got used to the daily coverage. The first day or two without my BB cream was awkward, I felt naked.

The daily procedure is as follows: Mornings I put the serum followed by the cream on my face avoiding the eyes, at night I apply the serum (the cream is optional at night). My skin is normal to dry, and a tad sensitive, so I used the cream for dry skin. Both the serum and cream smell heavenly, Chanel should consider bottling them as perfume! You only need a small amount and it spreads a lot, I am still on one of the tubes. My face stayed hydrated throughout the day, and even after a warm bath when my skin usually dries out, the serum would help regain its moisture. read more

Product Review: Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula

I am in constant search for the perfect hair product, the one that will end my frantic curly hair misery. A year or so ago I was seeking out a coconut based hair product, as they are known to decrease hair loss, reduce split ends, and give an overall shine. I found Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula – Gel Curl Activator. It wasn’t all that bad, it gave my hair a glossy coat and smelled great.

After a while, the tube was almost over and I moved on to another product. However recently I went back and searched for another coconut based hair care and found the one and only Palmer’s, except this time the Coconut Oil Formula was Moisture Gro. Of course I grabbed it and rushed back home to try it. read more

Product Review: Oil Replacement Therapy

I’m quite an addict when to comes to hair products; having curly hair and wanting to tame it drives me to try almost every product I can get my hands on. Today I will face off Pantene and Dove Oil Replacement therapy.

Pantene was a miracle worker for me when it was first released. It helped relax my curls into waves, not to mention its glorious scent. However what would bother me was the texture which was way too sticky on my hands, even after I’d wash them I would still feel the product. When washing my hair, it would be sticky after the first rinse off, which means the hair didn’t absorb it, but merely was coated by it, so technically it wasn’t ‘therapy’. This oil replacement product was my go to choice until I recently tried Dove for the same hair care series. Funny thing is, when i reached for it on the supermarket aisle, I actually thought it was Pantene! To my luck when I got home, it turned out to be Dove. The scent isn’t as delish as Pantene, but the results are equal if not greater. What I prefer about this product is that it isn’t sticky, you can easily distribute it over your hair without the risk of it being more dense on some parts and barely there on others. Your hands come out clean and so does your hair when you wash it afterwards. read more
