Last Tuesday, May 20th, Iro boutique in downtown Beirut hosted its ‘Uptown Circle Closet’. Its the first fashion event I was invited to since I started blogging a month and a half ago, and I didn’t expect it to happen so soon!
I wanted to make sure I came across as my true self through my style, and because I value comfort, I dressed casually in a polo shirt and denim. I stacked my bracelets and rings, put on some mascara and headed to Iro.
The crowd started building up slowly but surely, with photographers making sure everyone gets their share of poses, and caterers making their rounds with drinks and treats. The atmosphere was laid back, people in the fashion business or purely for the love of it, dropped by and started to mingle and try on Iro items for a friendly competition.
I walked around and began to view the collection, its a mix of rock n roll and chic. I would stress more on the chic, because almost 90% of the items are classic, and can be a staple in a woman’s wardrobe. Therefore you wouldn’t be splurging on a temporary trend, but could make an edgy statement in a classic way. The majority of the items are either black or white with a hint of pastel.
The interior is stripped of unnecessary decoration, and truly reflects the identity of Iro and their collection. The ceiling, walls and floor are simple and minimal with an industrial feel. The clothes hung equidistant from each other on hangers. I couldn’t help but feel the symmetry and perfection, it makes Maria the architect glow.
Below is the window display styled by the one and only Lana El Sahely.

The gathering brought together style bloggers including myself, there was a lot of love and fashion in the air!
Can you guess whats inside this goodie bag?
Iro, you literally rock!
